The main thrust of our adolescent program is to help patients recognize that alcoholism and addiction is a primary, progressive disease, rather than any manifestation of a moral consequence, character weakness, or psychological dysfunction. We teach alcoholics and addicts to approach their disease as a treatable condition with a high potential for lasting recovery.
During their stay at our residential center, adolescents learn how addiction affects them physically, socially, and emotionally. Individual and group counseling, lectures, films, school work, and involvement in 12-Step programs focus on value clarifications and the path to recovery. The center’s secluded, park-like grounds and tasteful interior offer a tranquil setting for recovery.
